Prologue
Is Your Podcast Stuck? Try this ...
It happens to the best of us ...
We start a podcast with excitement (and good intentions), then find ourselves plateauing and at a crossroads, wondering whether to push forward or hang it up.
If you're in this situation, I can help you. I've got a program called Podcast Jumpstart and right now, you can get it free.
Join a community of dozens of other podcasters making small tweaks to their podcasts and getting big results like:
- more listeners
- more subscribers
- more attention
Podcast Jumpstart has easy-to-follow actions that will take you only about 15 minutes per day. And it's FREE for you.
But it's only free for a few more days ... So sign up now and get you podcast "unstuck."
In this issue of Big Podcast Insider, I've got some additional things you can do to get your podcast "unstuck" and moving forward. My favorite is the "Steal This Idea" from a regional coffee shop that you can easily (and inexpensively) copy yourself.
By the way, if you're interested in AI tools made especially for podcasters, I've got two in the Classified Ads section below ... and both are amazing (and with a free trial).

Podcaster Opportunities

Why your videos need subtitles ...
If you're doing any kind of online video to promote yourself, especially on social media, you need subtitles. And one of the big reasons is that people are consuming this video content in noisy environments or places where audio isn't appropriate ... like during meetings.
But seeing words as you hear them also helps with comprehension. And if you're selling something via video, conversion.
This video has some interesting stats as well as information you might find helpful as far as how microphones work and how you can best record yourself for maxmimum impact.
But the "You Need Subtitles" rule remains, regardless of how great your audio is. Yeah, people will be able to hear you, but when they can read along with what they're hearing, your message is more likely to "stick." This is one of the reasons hardcore book fans often buy both an audio and print version of the books they read.

Limited Edition Merch and Giveaways
Dutch Bros Coffee encourages people to buy more (and different) drinks by offering limited-supply stickers.
Want to see something really crazy? Check out these eBay listings to get an idea of how big this community is.
People love to collect things, especially when there is a limited supply available. And doing this with stickers for your podcast is an easy "trick" that you can use to get people excited about what you're doing and build community among listeners.
If you're interested in trying this, here's a $10 credit for Sticker Mule to get you started.
PRO TIP: Get the $10 credit, but don't use it immediately. When you next go on social media, you'll see discount ads for both Sticker Mule and other similar companies.
And note that you can do this with just about anything. Stickers work well because they're cheap to produce and mail, but you could do the same thing with 50 custom magnets for only $9.
Musicians have known this trick forever. Taylor Swift, for example, sells limited-edition shirts at her shows.

Podcast Humor

Who's the Boss?
Look, I'm from the South and we're all into this "nice manners" thing. But if a guest shows up for your podcast without what's needed for you to get the interview you need, it's perfectly acceptable for you to delay that interview or completely cancel it.
