Assuming I already had a computer, I could spend as little as $300 and have a great setup that could get me 90% of what I need.
Mic - Shure SM57 for $99 with Shure A2WS windscreen for $15
Interface - Focusrite Scarlet Solo for $139
Software - Audacity for $0
Can you spend more? Obviously, yes. But your time, energy, and money is almost always better spent on becoming a better host and putting together better content than anything hardware or software related.
Don’t confuse consumption with action.
