Prologue
Questions for your next guest ... and you!
It's a new year and here is the perfect "episode in a box" for you. These questions are also great for your self reflection.
- What did you change my mind about last year?
- What created energy for you last year?
- What drained your energy last year?
- Who (or what) were the "boat anchors" in your life?
- What did you not do because of fear?
- What were your greatest hits and misses?
- What did you learn last year?
I'll be sharing my podcasting-related answers to these questions on my podcast about podcasting and I'd love to hear your answers as well. Reach out to me via Bluesky and let me know!
I hope you're off to a great one! I've got some great things coming soon that I'm very excited to share with you.

Will Video Kill the Audio Star in 2025?
The answer to this question is no. But you can read the finer details here.
“The traditional audio-only podcast format, delivered in an app, feels small and quaint.”
I disagree. I'm not sure why "video" is considered by so many people to be better than audio-first media outlets, such as radio, audiobooks, and audio podcasts. Different? Yes. But definitely not "better."
Both audio and video podcasts have their place.
RELATED: "Country Music" became huge in the 90s. At the time, "country" was the top radio format.
But that's now why it became huge ...
The story is actually very similar to why people think video content is better than audio. And I'll share it with you on my podcast about podcasting.

Podcast Humor
Why People Like Joe Rogan
Joe Rogan isn't perfect, but one thing he has going for him, which you also have going for you, is that he's human.
That sounds trite, doesn't it? But in a world of "fake and perfect" social media influencers and reality stars, people are looking to connect with those whom they can relate to.
For a lot of people, that's a guy like Joe Rogan.
And for some people, that's a person like you.
Don't worry about being perfect on your podcast—it's the "imperfections" that people really connect with.
