I just did an interview with a well-known backup singer, probably best known for her work with Elton John.
"There's a lot to being a backup singer than just singing," she told me.
The same is true for podcasting – there's a lot more to this than getting behind a mic and talking.

39% of Americans Added Streaming Subscriptions During COVID
How many streaming services do you have? I've had Netflix since 2001.
But AT&T hooked me up with "free" HBOMax last year, so there's that. And I've got a paid Spotify account for music.
And Amazon Prime, for delivery, which apparently also counts as they have video streams as well.
The point is – most people, maybe even you, are a lot like me – we've got a few (or more than a few) "streaming" subscriptions.
Paying for subscription services adds up. Because of this, more and more people are starting drop their paid subscription services, just like they dropped cable television before.
But people love streaming, on-demand entertainment. And this is great news for podcasters who have this available free of charge.
