There is only so far you can go with earned or organic media. But when you figure out a way to make paid ads work, you can go, and go, and go ... almost forever. Certainly longer than you'll be able to with free media, especially in our "here today, gone tomorrow" landscape of viral videos and celebrities.

It doesn't matter. There's another guy to take his place this week.

This is how "viral marketing" works. It's helpful for a short period of time, but it's nothing to build a career on.

You can, however, build a career through paid advertising. And if you think it's "too expensive" for you to do, consider improving on how you package episodes, This means, better titles, better focus, etc. That can literally cut any advertising costs you do i half (if not more).
